Acai Berry Product Reviews

Zola Acai Juice Blends

Zola Acai is another brand of acai juice products that you can find in many local stores. You can find Zola Acai juice in health food markets and stores such as Whole Foods, Fry's, Wild Oats, Raley's, Ralphs, Robeks, Henry's, Nugget, Booster Juice, Mother's and many others, depending on where you live. Even some wholesale stores like Costco sells Zola Acai juice sometimes.

What Makes Zola special is that it's affordable, doesn't need refrigeration, and comes in a broad range of flavors. While I was at my local Costco one day they had a display and I got to try each of the 3 different flavors, and all were delicious.

How tasty is Zola Acai?

Zola Acai juice comes in three flavors, including as Zola Acai Original, Zola Acai + Pineapple, and Zola Acai + Blueberry. In terms of healthy nutrients, Zola Acai original has a high Acai content with added healthy nutrients such as:

  • Omega-6 + Omega-9 fatty acids,
  • 8 of the 9 essential amino acids,
  • calcium,
  • iron and
  • replenishing electrolytes

A 12-Pack of Zola Acai sells for about $20, and each container is a 11 fl. oz carton. This makes Zola Acai juice cost effective compared to many other acai berry juice products on the market.

What is the ORAC Value of Zola Acai?

Although Zola prides itself on having a 12-hour pick-to frozen pulp process, they do not release the ORAC values either, so we have no way of knowing. Since they claim that their product is "Shelf Stable," we really don't know what to expect, since pretty much all other Acai juices need to be refrigerated or frozen to retain their high ORAC value. Also, the Pineapple and Blueberry blends would have an even lower ORAC score, naturally.
