Acai Energy Drinks

Perhaps the latest, but in hindsight the most obvious type of acai berry product to hit the store shelves is the Acai Energy drink. Made to compete with the likes of Red Bull, Rockstar Cola, and the whole new breed of 'drink this to party all night' elixers, it would seem a no-brainer to base one of these products on the Acai berry, because that is exactly the reputation that acai berry products have developed for themselves in Rio.

It has long been known (since the 1980's) that if you consume a Rio bowl in the evening, you'll have the energy to stay up all night and party like they have become quite famous for in Rio. If you ever visit Rio you'll see exactly how far they take it, too, with thousands of acai-bowl-selling shops around town, expecially near the popular night spots.

The important thing to note is that while the high caffiene in a Red Bull can give you a case of the jitters, an acai-based energy drink is almost always completely jitter-free, with a much mroe natural source of energy.

Still, you always want to check the ingredients to see what else they throw in there other than the acai!
