Description of the Acai Palm Tree

Each acai palm tree is large and tall. Each tree has many trunks and many branches. Each acai palm trunk produces four to eight bunches of acai berries throughout the year. Young acai palm trees do not produce fruit. They usually have to be at least four to five years old to start producing acai berries.

Each trunk measures up to 25 meters tall and four to six inches in diameter wide.

On average, each acai palm tree has four to eight trunks. However, an acai palm tree can have up to 25 trunks.
